Hi, everybody!

I've got a draft of a birthday fic ready to be sent off to a trusty beta. The thing is, I need someone who's capable of betaing either Pushing Daisies or The Middleman (I'm trying not to give away to the recipient what exactly she's getting - those are the fandoms she requested). If you're able and willing to beta a 5500-word gen(ish) fic in either or both of those fandoms, please leave a comment here. Thank you! (ETA: I'd need the beta by the weekend, which I really should have mentioned. Can't brain today.)

I have to do a proper update post at some point. Soon, I swear.

I don't actually read much in the Pushing Daisies fandom and I've never written for it, so I'm probably not a great beta. But if you can't find anyone else, I can do PD. I've seen every episode and squee'd about all the characters!

If someone else is more into that fandom (or Middleman, of which I only saw part of one episode ever), then let them do it. But I can be your fallback.

I'm sorry--I just remembered I hadn't read your story yet! It was a heck of a weekend, and I lost track of it in the worry over the cat and other things. I have now remembered and will try to get it done within the next 24 hours. Is that all right?

No worries, honestly - I saw your kitty posts and figured you had plenty to deal with on your own. I'm not sure how much time I'm going to have to tinker with it tomorrow, so don't worry about getting to it at this point. It's for a friend in any case, and she'll be very understanding about the quality of the story.
