You guys, it is SO good. Maud just ran with it and gave Sherlock such lovely depth, and the pacing of the story is such that the pre-John stuff is both prologue and absolutely necessary, which is quite a trick to pull off. It's realistic and gorgeous and complicated. And, somehow, improbably, it's funny too. Go, read it, you will be very glad you did.
