I'm still in London, mooching off kate_lear and her lovely flatmate, and I am still planning to post pictures from the trip to DC I took just before flying here, as well as a London post with pictures and a (possibly separate) post with details of yesterday's Cabin Pressure recording session.
But first, since I've been feeling terribly guilty for days, I'm going to do what I should have done when I made the reveals over at sherlock_remix, which is rec the absolutely fantastic story that mad_maudlin wrote for me: Backwards Epiphany (The Feast of Fools Remix).
You guys, it is SO good. Maud just ran with it and gave Sherlock such lovely depth, and the pacing of the story is such that the pre-John stuff is both prologue and absolutely necessary, which is quite a trick to pull off. It's realistic and gorgeous and complicated. And, somehow, improbably, it's funny too. Go, read it, you will be very glad you did.
