Hi, everybody!

Man, going through career websites is depressing. Every time I crack on with my fic for sherlockbigbang, I get that awful feeling in my stomach that tells me NO, BAD KUNJU, and I stop writing and just go back to clicking on things at these horrifying websites. Sherlock and John are coming out pretty disjointed. Hahaha, no need for master blackmailer Charles Augustus Milverton to jerk them around, when I'm already taking care of it!

I've done my Yuletide nominating for this year's challenge:
Cabin Pressure (oh! I should mention that the entire run of source material is available here)
The Fall (2006)
Possession (2009)
Touching Evil US
Tropic Thunder
Walking and Talking

I picked these fandoms because I could imagine awesome stories being written in them. There are sources that I truly love that I can't imagine prompting for or having something written for - Arrested Development would be a shining example here. My Yuletide fandoms tend, for some reason, to be overwhelmingly het-centric. Hmmm. Fandoms that did not make the list include: The Tick, Better Off Ted (my gift story last year was in this fandom), Wonder Boys, The Unusuals, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Cold Comfort Farm, Life, and Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. Get cracking, because nominations close in less than six hours!

I had a lovely conversation with my little brother last night that I just want to treasure forever. He's such a good kid.

My BFF is taking me for a belated birthday dinner tonight at a restaurant I've been wanting to try for years. That is exciting.

And my apartment is clean! It has been scrubbed from top to bottom, and it's immensely restful to have a tidy space to work in.

I'm about a quarter of the way through Tana French's Faithful Place, the third in her series, and she's batting a thousand.

And I might have found a tenant for my Philly house! I bought that house when I was halfway through grad school, and I loved it - you might love it too, if you like the house that Ben and Dean bought and which gnatkip illustrated uncannily well. The tenants got married and bought a new place and want to break the lease, and I let them, but it's been one more hassle trying to find someone to replace them. Fingers crossed that this lady is as sane as she sounds over email.

I'm so tired.

How are you all doing?
