TEAPOT - please help!

Hi, everybody!

I need your help. Many years ago, I bought my mom this teapot for her birthday, and she said it was the best present she ever got. She used it all the time, and of course, on one of his rare visits to her house, my dad managed to break it. She's distraught. I tried to buy a replacement, but it looks like they're not sold in the U.S. anymore. I've scoured eBay, I've gone to all of the specialty tea and kitchenware shops I can find in NYC and Philadelphia, and I've had a three-month search run on Amazon Marketplace; I've come up empty. It's made by a German company (Jenaer), so I'm hoping any Europeans on my flist might have better luck. If you find this teapot, could you please let me know? I could pay you for buying it, shipping it, and your trouble through Paypal. Pleeeeeaaaaase.

But I don't want to ask for something without offering anything, so take a look at this utterly charming, short interview with Lee Pace for Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. He's such a doof, and so self-deprecating, and clearly punchy as can be. So adorable.

I'll keep an eye out for it. I can think of a couple of shops that'd be worth me trying. I do hope someone will be able to find one!

Thank you, honey! The power of fangirls and friends is amazing!

Thank you again - kudra found a link that seems to work, and I've placed an order. If something happens, I'll let you know, but I didn't want you scouring the countryside for my sake in the meantime.

Please do let me know if I can do anything for you - every time I walk by the American Idiot theater, I think of you (which sounds terrible, but you know what I mean!).

I'm so glad you've managed to order one! I'll cross my fingers it all works out.

I actually checked a couple of places (it was no hassle, they were nearby), but didn't see anything, but yeah, let me know if for any reason you need help again.

every time I walk by the American Idiot theater, I think of you (which sounds terrible, but you know what I mean!).

Hee, a British idiot frequently! And wildly jealous that you get to go past it - I'm still desperately hoping it comes to London, and Stark Sands is still in it. You didn't go to their opening/signing thing at Bloomingdale's yesterday, did you?

No Bloomingdale's for me - I had no idea that was even happening (since I'm not tuned into your boy). But the show sounds pretty cool, and if I do find the time and the money to go, I will let you know aaaaaallllllll about it.

We need to swap homes - you can go to cheap theatre over here, and I can hang around and catch all the NYC stuff Stark Sands is doing!

If you go, I shall hold you to that! They've been having a lottery and giving out free tickets or really cheap tickets or something, but I don't actually know much about that. Otherwise, I think the cheapest are about $32.

Ooh, we should! And I will definitely let you know if I do see the show.

Totally unhelpful but that teapot is AWESOME. I am sad you're having trouble finding it because I WANT ONE.

Isn't it just awesome?!? I was so pleased when I saw it and, oh, my mom's little face when she lifted it out of the box!

kudra found a link - see below!

That is a wonderful teapot! It's not that old of a design... what a bummer they don't seem to make it any more.

And it won awards! How could something so awesome be discontinued, just like that?!?

Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I think I love him as much as Jensen but in a totally different way. Like I would fantasize about romantic walks on the lake, picnics at dusk, hugging and cuddling with that man.

Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Have you seen The Fall? Between that and Soldier's Girl and Pushing Daisies and Miss Pettigrew and even Possession, I AM IN LOVE. That voice especially is just amazing!

He needs to be on stage in New York, where I can go see him every night.

I've seen them all! I adore him so hard.

Hee, I play a what? A PIANIST.

So lovely! So loveleeeee!

"I just wanted to hear you say it again." HE'S SO DARLING!

I get the doofiest smile on my face every time I watch him being all darling twelve-year-old, and when he gets all blushy at the hotness accusations.

Aw, unfortunately, no. That's the site where I first bought the teapot, but even though it's still listed, when you actually try to order it, they tell you it's not available. I called them just to check and they said they don't make it anymore. Booooooo.

That looks like the one! Thaaaaaaaaaaaaank yooooooooooouuuuuuuuu!

Now I've added funds to my Paypal account, and will see if it will actually let me order the damn thing instead of taunting me like the Adagio site!
